Peter Rabbit & A Scratchy Throat!

When will it be spring? We have been bombarded with snow for way too long! I can't wait for the weather to change - well at least get slightly warmer. The kids at school are coughing and sneezing all over me during story time. Hand sanitizer has become my new best friend. With that said - I am still getting sick! Not full fledged cold - just that irritable scratchy throat and cough. I guess I should be grateful that it hasn't gotten worse - knock on wood!!


I have been pretty lazy with this blog recently I've noticed! I think it's because it takes me a little longer to create 12x12 layouts instead of cards. They are so fun to make - it's like creating a whole new world sometimes! Plus I have so many ideas flowing - wish I had the time to just do it all!


For this layout I decided to go down a slightly different path. With my longing for spring, I couldn't help but think of Beatrix Potter and good ol' Peter. This layout was drawn and cut by hand - I just love the soft, subtle feel. I think mama rabbit is my favorite piece of this layout. Her basket lined with vintage lace really makes here "pop".

Once Upon a Time...

Hi all!! Here is my layout for today titled - Once Upon a Time. There are three main piecings to this creation, four large photomats, and two journaling tags. I just love how the papers worked together with the embellishments. Isn't this dragon the cutest?! Look at those eyes! Make ya melt! I had so much fun with this one and it didn't take me too long to make - once I decided on the paper. Sometimes that can be the hardest part!! It is listed on Ebay with many more detailed pictures. Elephant Birthday Layout

Back to school tomorrow after a MUCH needed three day weekend. I went on a little shopping spree this Friday - a local scrapbook store is going out of business which spells TROUBLE! Although - how often does that opportunity come around - right!? So I loaded up on tons of stuff - and unloaded it in my scrap room. I have stuff everywhere and need to spend a good part of my free time this week organizing and rearranging.

I finished another 12x12 premade layout for Ebay. It is an Elephant themed around a circus. I just love how it came to life. So many favorite parts to this layout I can't even begin to name them. Snow Day and New Layout!

Whoopee! I just love snow days! Mainly because I can spend the day in my sweats locked in my craft room designing away! I finally finished a new scrapbook layout that I put on Ebay. It took me about two days to finish because I just couldn't stop adding things. LOL! I am really excited how it turned out - aren't the little chicks just the cutest?! You can find the listing HERE. Now I am off to eat a little tomato zucchini stew and clean up my mess so I can start a new layout. I have a few cute cards to share too....maybe I will put them on later tonight.

Boy am I beat! I just got home from a long night at the library and have a 2 hour Bachelor episode to watch before tomorrow - so we can gossip about it at lunch :o) I hope Jake gets rid of Vienna soon!

So I do have a cool project to share but only have time for one picture - you will have to wait for the rest tomorrow!! The suspense I know!!
