Be Mine

I can't believe January is almost over! Where does the time go? Although it is FREEZING in the midwest so every day we creep closer to spring - I can't wait! Thank you so much for everyone who has been commenting on my designs. It really makes a gal feel good!!

I had so much fun creating my last paper piecing, I decided to make another one for Valentine's Day. I kept this one a little less embellished, I think it turned out darn cute! Everything is hand pieced - many layers of love have gone into these two cuties.

If you are interested in purchasing this card, I will have it listed on Ebay. You can visit my listings here. Hopefully, they will find a happy home!

Thanks for looking!

Hippity Hoppity - Vintage Shabby Chic Piecing

Hope you like today's creation - I really like how it turned out. With all the snow and frigid temperatures in the midwest, I've been dying for spring to arrive. One of the challenges I am entering this cutie in is for a Folk Art Easter item. Hopefully it will pass, it is a little more vintage, shabby chic but I just love the color scheme! Even though I made her as a card, I think she would be great on a spring scrapbook layout as well. I will be selling her on Ebay in the Age Before Beauty Challenge starting on February 1. So be sure to pop on over to see her status next week or bid on her yourself! Hopefully she will find a nice home! I am also entering her in this week's Basic Grey challenge. This week's challenge was to create an card using Basic Grey papers and needed to include an animal. Wish me luck!

The girl was cut with my cricut and hand layered and pieced with different textiles, Basic Grey & Vintage papers, and embellishments. Did you notice the vintage lace petticoat and apron? I think they are my favorite parts - well and the cute pearly headband.

I can't wait to create another vintage piecing and hope you enjoyed her. Be sure to leave a comment with your thoughts and any questions!

Outta This World!

Isn't this robot paper just darling?! I was so excited when I found this new paper line by K&Company. Many cute sheets and great vibrant colors. - plus it's double sided!

The card base and circles were cut with my cricut. The layers are raised to make the image pop and give dimension. I really wanted to add a sentiment to the front - but as you can see I got a little carried away with the embellishments! Oh well! Not sure if you can see the cute little heart jewels I added to the bellies - it needed just a skosh of bling.

Thanks for looking!

Monogram Gift Set

Ok....I just spent FOREVER trying to figure out my background coding for my blog template. I am fairly good with HTML coding but can't figure out how to add my own image as a background! Argh! And since I'm the type of person that won't give up (even though I tell myself "if you can't figure this out in 10 min. it's time to call it quits) it is 11:00 and I'm just now posting for today.

Oh well! Maybe I will figure it out tomorrow! On to today's creation....

I made this set of cards for my mother-in-law. I wanted to give her a classic monogram set to use for any occasion. I just love the color combination of creme and black - so elegant. As you can see, I am totally into making these cute little flowers out of paper. I also made a few out of vintage lace to give a unique shabby texture. Thanks for looking today! Hopefully I will have my cute little V-Day card done to share tomorrow!

Night!!

Card for Simon Says Stamp Designer Challenge & 2 Sketches 4 You

Well I decided to enter my first challenge! Simon Says Stamp is looking for a new designer so I thought I'd give it a go. I just love this new stamp from Impression Obsession! I decided to turn it into a frothy cup of espresso with sugar coated marshmallows. I used my prima pencils and goo gone to blend and shade. The froth is snow type paint I found at JoAnns. The inside thanks expression is from Stampin up. I didn't do my normal vintage shabby chic style but I think it turned out in the end. Wish me luck!!

You can view the challenge here.

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things

Well it has been a little while since I've posted anything. Between Thanksgiving, Christmas, craft shows, etc. - the time just flew! I thought I'd share a card I just finished for a friend. I just love the vintage feel of it. The cute little blossom is handmade, torn, and grunged. I can't wait to create more of this little beauties!
