Beautiful Baby Girl

In just a few days, our local county fair will begin. Each year, I look forward to gorging myself on cinnamon rolls, fried pickles, eclairs, thick milkshake - just to name a few! But this year I won't only be eating - I will be sharing my "wares" so to speak. This year, I decided to enter not only ONE but THREE of my items in different crafty categories. And maybe....just maybe...I'll come home with a prize!

For my first entry, I decided to enter a category that asks for a scrapbook layout for the wall. I decided to make a baby girl frame for this one. Now I might be biased, but isn't she just the cutest baby ever? She is the newest addition to our friends Marcie and Dave and I thought this picture of her would be perfect to use as my inspiration.

The frame has been painted with an undercoat of white, then crackled, with a topcoat of baby pink. A nice thick pink ribbon is being used as the hanger. Melissa Frances and K&Company papers re layered, inked, stained, and stitched.

Many gorgeous Crafty Secrets products have been used in this design. I just love the soft vintage feel they give this project. I used images from Baby Girl Homespun Cotton Scraps, Joys of Life Titles & More Vintage Booklet, & Babyland Vintage Cuts. I also added vintage lace, buttons, pink German glass glitter, and a stick pin with a few extras!

Hope you enjoy! Stay tuned for my next fair listing!
