A Year in Review

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

Today was a much needed day to tackle my rising mess in my studio. I don't know how I manage to pull every little thing out and not put it away. I am just not anal enough to clean up after everything I create - my mind is too busy thinking up new projects I suppose. Destashing is sooo therapeutic! My little sister is visiting as I purge and is making out like a BANDIT - lucky ducky!

Hopefully, I will get my act together so I can start making my ideas come to life. In the meantime, here is a look at some of the pieces I created in 2010...

  5. Oh my goodness, I don't know if I can pick. These pieces have so many intricate parts to them that each time I look, I see something that I did not see before. Many of them look so beautiful, that I would want to actually frame them on the wall so that everyone could see them! I guess if I had to choose, I would actually have to ch...oose two different ones for different reasons. First, I love the piece for the newborn baby. Probably because I just had a little girl myself, this piece looks so delicate and feminine with the flowers, pearls, lace, buttons, warm pink hues, and of course the photos of the beautiful baby bring it all together. The next one which I love the Christmas one with the glittery snowflake, "JOY", red & white ribbon (like a candy cane), and gold hue beads - it reminds me a lot of my Mom's Christmas wreaths that she makes. Just a warm feeling of Christmas! All of your work is so intricate and detailed. They are real works of art! I appreciate the time that you place into them :) Keep up the great work!
